Trim Detail
When you walk into a new home, have you noticed how some homes just have a certain, positive “feel” about them? It may not necessarily have expensive finishes throughout or be an exceptionally large home, but something just feels right. It was probably a Regal home, and the secret is the trim detail.
We design, draw, estimate, and order all our own trim material, and put together a package that far exceeds other homes in a similar price point. Standard trim packages, in all of our homes, include:
- 5 1/4″ Baseboard in the main living areas, instead of standard 2 1/2″ base. High-profile trim is included in the Kitchen, Family Room, Foyer, Dining Room, Den, and Master Bedroom.
- Select windows on the first floor include custom detailed casing – generally a flat stock 1×4 material with a higher-profile header and cap over
- Custom designed and built fireplace mantle, with your choice of craftsman or colonial style.
- Open stair railing has stained oak handrail and newel posts, with painted spindles.
- All windows are cased, even upstairs.
- Painted, custom-built particle board closet shelving, instead of wire shelves
Other standard features, depending on the plan, include:
- Openings with glass transoms
- Wainscoting in the Dining Room
- Custom-built columns
- Arched headers
- Crown moulding in formal living areas
