About
Long-Term Stability, Innovative Homes, and Local Family Ownership
Bob Leach, President
Over 35 years ago, Bob Leach had a vision to offer incredible value in new homes and communities throughout Stark County. After graduating from Ohio State University and working at Republic Engineered Steel, he founded Hawthorne Builders, and never looked back.
Over the past 35 years, Bob has built Regal Construction into a leader in the Stark County housing market. He has built over 1,000 homes – everything from homes under $100,000 to fully custom, high-end homes well over $1 million. He has been an active developer of local communities, also developing over 1,200 lots in his career. Bob served as president of the Stark County BIA in 1979.
Bob and his wife Nancy have also contributed significantly to the local community over the years. From his early days in the Canton Jaycee’s and Junior League, through more recent contributions to Leadership Stark County, United Way, and the Stark County Park District, community improvement has always been an important value at Regal.
Bob and Nancy reside in Jackson Township.
Andy Leach, Vice President
Andy grew up within the family home building business, working summers through high school and college sweeping out houses, mowing lawns, and even learning the electrical trade to wire houses. However, he followed a different path into the business, graduating with a degree in Accounting, Summa Cum Laude, from Ohio State. After working for Ernst & Young and earning his CPA, he joined the family business and has been an active home builder for 12 years.
Andy has continued the family tradition of contributing to the community. He has been active on the Building Industry Association of Stark County Board from 1998 through 2009, serving as president in 2005. He has also served on the boards, and led as president of the board, of Project REBUILD, Inc., and the Friends of Stark Parks. He currently is on the board of the Project REBUILD Community High School.
Andy and his wife Melissa reside in Jackson Township with their daughter Morgan.
